Are you ready for fall travel softball?
Registration is now open for Fall 2025 softball travel teams! Registration will close at the end of day on Sunday, July 20th.
Summit softball travel has an expectation for participation in games and practices. Commitment to the team will be a component of all player evaluations at the end of the season and will be considered in team formation during subsequent seasons. Please review the expectations for your age group and season on the softball travel overview page before registration. If you foresee any direct conflicts or have any planned vacations, please communicate these in writing to Erin Peek, the Softball Travel Director, upon registration. This information is crucial to decisions pertaining to number of teams and team size. The skill and experience of each player on a team is considered when the league sets our schedules and it detracts from the experience of each and every player when this information is not an accurate reflection of the team that is stepping foot on the field each game.
PLAYERS AGE UP IN FALL SEASON. The age group of registration will be assigned based on your birthday and should be the same as your age group from the assessment in June. If you feel there is an error please reach out to the Softball Travel Director.
Assessments from June do not automatically place you on a team. They aid in our team formation, but you have to register now to show you have decided to play. If you are not placed on a team, your fees will be refunded to you in full.

Player Ages and Eligibility*:
- Ages - 8U (born 9/1/16 and after)
- 10U (born 9/1/14 - 8/31/16)
- 12U (born 9/1/12 - 8/31/14)
- 14U (born 9/1/10 - 8/31/12)
*In order to be eligible for Fall Travel you must have participated in the SSBL 2025 Spring Softball Rec Season.**

Fall Travel Season Details
Eligibility: All players from 2025 Spring Softball Rec are eligible, even if you were unable to attend assessments in June 2025.
Commitment: Fall season runs from the end of August through the end of October. It will be a 10-12 game season and 1-2 practices per week. All games will be away during the fall season. The league requires commitment in regular season games to participate in playoffs. Though the game schedule is dependent upon the league and is usually available in late August, there are typical days that each age group has games. Please review the expectations for your age group and season on the softball travel overview page before registration. If you foresee any direct conflicts or have any planned vacations, please communicate these in writing to the Softball Travel Director upon registration.
League: Our is for all teams to play in the USA Softball District 2 League, the same league we have played in for the last several years.
Practices: We are aiming for practices to begin at the end of August with the season completed by the end of October.
Games: All games are away in surrounding communities, usually within a 15-30 min drive from Summit.
Age Specific Details
- 8U: $165 registration fee. We hope to create two teams at this level, so if your daughter is interested in continuing to play, please register.
- 10U: $165 registration fee. Kid Pitch, no coach relief. We hope to create two teams at this level, so if your daughter is interested in continuing to play this fall, please register.
- 12U: $165 registration fee. Kid pitch, no coach relief.
- 14U: $165 registration fee. We are typically low in numbers at this level. If we are unable to form a team, you will be reimbursed in full.
Team Placement
Teams will be formed based on player evaluations and coach rankings from most recent prior travel seasons (coaches evaluations), Independent Assessment scores from June 2025 Assessment, and direct communication with Spring 2025 Softball Rec coaches.
We attempt to find a team suitable for all players who want to play, but it is not always possible (some seasons we have too many players for 1 team, but not enough players for a 2nd team).
Our goal is to have teams announced by early/mid August.
If your player is NOT placed on a team, your fees will be refunded in full.
Coaching: Please indicate at registration if you are interested in coaching - dedicated COACHES at all levels provide the best experience for all of our children.
Uniforms: New uniform purchase is REQUIRED if you did not play in the Spring or Summer of 2025. Cost is $75 and will include a sublimated jersey (similar to image below) with name and number on the back, socks, and belt. If you have more than one player to register, make sure you order uniforms for all players. Numbers will be maintained from prior seasons. Select the Jersey size you think is most appropriate. They are more true to size than the 2024 and earlier jerseys. Players will supply their own BLACK softball pants, which will be available for purchase at the try on session. If you are tall or prefer knicker style pants, consider ordering one size larger for your socks.
**These teams are intended for players enthusiastic about playing a higher and more competitive level of softball and are committed to playing from the last week of August through the end of October. Commitment to a high percentage of games and practices is expected.
