2026 Summer Travel Softball Registration is Open
We are excited to announce that 2026 Summer Travel Softball registration is now live. Registration will close on April 30th.
Eligibility:
In order to play Summer Travel Softball, you must:
- Be participating in the 2026 Spring Rec Softball program (1st Grade Instructional League or higher); plus
- Meet age requirements as set forth by USA Softball:
- 8U: Born on or after September 1, 2016
- 10U: Born between September 1, 2014 and August 31, 2016
- 12U: Born between September 1, 2012 and August 31, 2014
Team Formation:
Our Travel Softball teams are formed on a season-by-season basis using data and feedback from prior tryouts, rec and travel coach evaluations, and commitments made to softball teams, clinics and trainings. Team formation for Summer Travel Softball will take place in early May. Our intention is that every girl who registers will be placed on a team; however, this will be contingent upon total registration numbers. In the event your player is not placed on a team, you will be notified by email and your participant fee will be refunded.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Summer Travel Softball season is a separate season from Spring Travel Softball. Anyone who intends to play Summer Travel Softball, irrespective of whether you are currently playing Spring Travel Softball, must register using the link found in the Registration section below. There will not be a tryout for the Summer Travel Softball season.
Participant Fee:
The 2026 Summer Travel Softball participant fee is $200.
Uniforms:
We updated our uniforms in 2025, and if you played Travel Softball in 2026 or 2025 then you are not required to purchase a new uniform. However, if you would like to purchase a new uniform you will have the option to do so at registration. Uniform kits consist of a jersey (with name and number), socks and belt. Numbers will be maintained from prior seasons. Players must supply their own black softball pants.
Season Overview:
We will compete in the USA Softball NJ D2 Parkway League. The Summer Travel Softball season consists of 10 weeknight games, followed by a single-elimination playoff tournament. The season begins in early June and ends by late July. Most away games are 15-30 minutes away from Summit, with a handful slightly farther.
